A child is crying for food,
But the conditions are doing nothing good.
And as the earth heats up during the day,
From my heart, my soul, I say:
"Oh! Somalia! Oh! East Africa!
People are dying out of hunger
And we can watch no longer.
Oh! Somalia! Oh! East Africa!
Through my poem I want to tell you,
That we are here and are trying to help you!"
Thousands have died, and it's still increasing,
And all you need is healing and feeding.
There's still a thing left- mankind,
And so I say, leaving other tensions behind:
"Oh! Somalia! Oh! East Africa!
Soon you will be out of your misery
And there'll be happiness in your country!
Oh! Somalia! Oh! East Africa!
Through my poem I want to tell you,
That we are here and are trying to help you!"
Oh! We are here for you!
But the conditions are doing nothing good.
And as the earth heats up during the day,
From my heart, my soul, I say:
"Oh! Somalia! Oh! East Africa!
People are dying out of hunger
And we can watch no longer.
Oh! Somalia! Oh! East Africa!

And all you need is healing and feeding.
